Restaurants & Politics
Welcome back!
So, how are you handling the upcoming November elections in your restaurant?
Proudly displaying your candidates banners?
Talking politics with your customers?
Or staying mum on the entire thing?
I’d like folks to write in with some quick thoughts on the topic.
Please post below…
All the best,

I prefer not to voice an opinion and I discourage my staff from discussing it on the job–you know, the subjects to avoid-sex, religion and politics! But how can you avoid it the business?
Once an employee of mine (no longer employed) engaged in debate with a customer four years ago! The employee was felt corneered and decided to tell the customer that the owners were on the same political ticket as he–needless to say, the customer got upset and told the employee to tell us she wouldn’t be back! Who needs it? I don’t even post signs in my yard at home–too many people know me and it has affected my business in the past–so now, it’s between me & God!

For the most part as a restaurant owner, I tend to stay pretty quiet on the upcoming election as I have regulars from both side of the aisle. However, we make a big push for get out to vote while not naming any specific canidates.
